DaveCo Trip: I had the opportunity to step foot in the world's largest liquor store (Guinness Book Record). The wine/beer/liquor selection was like no other I have seen. The staff managed to navigate us to a particular wine within seconds and even lookup a recipe...something we like to call the "Mamagranate Martini!"
Simply Bulk: A new store in the hood with an awesome concept! They have bins and bins of grains, nuts, spices, granolas, snacks, teas and even "green" soaps and cleaning products. You bring your own container or purchase one from them. I had some of the non-dyed wasabi green peas, corn nuts, roasted almonds and yogurt covered raisins. The worst part - no sampling!
Erik's breakfasts: Crunchy French Toast/Alabama sausage on Saturday and an asparagus/tomato/ham omelette with a side of fruit on Sunday. The man knows how to cook - nuff said!Oskar Blues: The new location in Longmont is sahweet! What is not to love about a place where kegs are used as waterfalls, anything goes decor, live music and tasty microbrews? We saw a live blues band here on Friday evening. My beverage of choice? A pilsner called Mama's Lil Yella Pills. HA!
March Birthdays: Erik has the first week of the month covered (3.3) and Dad has the last (3.25). It was fun to celebrate in person this year! Mom made a tasty Black Forest Cake for the occasion...yummo!
Mountain air: We went up to Eldorado Canyon State Park (or "Eldo" as the locals call it) on Sunday to get a little hike in. The temps got into the 70's and the snow was melting quick. This particular canyon is known for it's climbing and you can see why looking up it's sheer walls. The canyon was speckled with climbers who looked like ants on a mound of rock. We kept our feet on the ground this time around :)

Rooftop mexi and margs: This was the perfect ending to the weekend with my family. Chips and guac and mahi tacos washed down with a mango margarita...umm...can we go back??
